Kim Barger has been a theatre enthusiast since she saw her first musical at the age of 4. She enjoys being in the audience as well as behind the stage, but never on the stage! She created the Row L Seat 1 Theatre Blog as an outlet to share her thoughts on all things theatre-related, from Broadway to her local town of Mechanicsburg, PA.
Kim is the Production Manager for Messiah College's Department of Theatre and Dance. She also serves as an Audience Engagement Specialist and Marketing Consultant for musicals, where she enjoys combining her 15 years of experience in marketing and publicity with her theatre background to add creative details and elements to shows to connect them to audiences. You can learn more about her consulting services at www.RowLSeat1.com.
Kim is an alumnus of the Commercial Theater Institute's producing intensive, where she gained valuable insights from producers such as David Stone (Wicked, Next to Normal, If/Then) and Kevin McCollum (Motown, Avenue Q, Rent). She volunteers as an evaluator for The Hershey Theatre Apollo Awards, and in her spare time you can usually find her in a theatre somewhere in Central PA or on the train to NYC. She also loves spending time with her family and enjoys sharing her love of theatre with her husband and two sons.
Kim loves to connect with other theatre enthusiasts, so make sure to follow her on Facebook or Twitter, or send her an email at Kim@rowLSeat1.com. Oh, and if you're wondering where the name Row L Seat 1 came from, make sure to check out this post.
Glad all those trips to NYC when you were growing up are finally paying off!
